This adapter converts an analogue RGB input, to composite and S-video outputs, in
either PAL or NTSC by setting the DIP switches. The adapter will accept HSYNC
& VSYNC inputs OR a CSYNC input. All settings are controlled via the bank
of 4 DIP switches.
It has been designed to plug directly into the Amiga's video port, for immediate use.
However, it could also be used on non-Amiga applications, as it has an 8-way header
(male) on the PCB, which means that you could make any number of cables for
other machines and simply plug them into the RGB adapter. I have suitable 8-way
sockets (female) available below (scroll down).
There is a built in voltage regulator on board, which enables the adapter to be
powered from any DC power source from 7-35V. However, I recommend a power
source of 9-12V DC. *When used with an Amiga, power is provided by the Amiga's video port.
It's up to your imagination (and skill) as to how you use the adapter, whether you
put it into its own case, or share the case of the machine it is intended for
(if it fits). I also offer the V3.1 RGB adapter enclosed in a case of your choice (see below/scroll down).
It comes as a fully assembled and tested unit only, not in kit form. However, I
will leave connectors off if you request it (except for the 8-way header), such
as the 23 pin D-Sub, PCB mount composite and S-Video sockets. You will receive a discount, depending on which connectors you don't want included on the V3.1 RGB adapter.
*Please note that I have cases, 23 pin D-Subs and the correct sized back shells for sale below - useful if you want
to enclose the RGB adapter in a case for Amiga (or other) use yourself. I also have panel mount
S-Video/4-pin mini din and composite/RCA sockets available for purchase below.
There is a video uploaded on YouTube by Cammy demonstrating a previous version hooked
up to an LCD TV. Here is another YouTube video, also by Cammy.
For instructions for use, adapter applications, technical notes etc, click the button below. (If you are an owner of the previous V2.0 RGB adapter, e-mail me if you need the URL of that model's adapter notes.)
*Photos of the new V3.1 RGB adapter will be uploaded shortly.*

TV/Video to VGA Adapter
This device allows you to use your Amiga (or other machines, such as games consoles) on any standard PC/VGA monitor,
whether LCD or the old CRT type. It accepts PAL or NTSC signals, and also their variants. The picture quality is quite good when using the S-Video input (it also has an RCA/Composite input),
making it an ideal partner to be used with the V3.0 RGB to PAL/NTSC adapter.
Basically, a cheap "scan doubling" solution!
The video to VGA adapter can display the following resolutions @ 60Hz: 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1400x1050, 1440x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200. You can adjust the colour,
brightness etc etc. This unit seems to be a newer revision than the one I bought from my supplier previously to test (the same unit as Anemos on EAB). The PCB inside
looks different, and has fewer ICs. The adapter also appears to run cooler than the older one. When I tested these adapters compared to the older model, I'm happy to report
that the picture quality has improved. There are also higher resolutions available. The meny system is also much simpler and easier to use...
AND you can use WB on high res and interlaced modes, flicker free on ANY monitor.
Also, with the VGA in/PIP function, you can share the one monitor with your PC and Amiga (or whatever).
So, no need to constantly plug and unplug the monitor if you only have one, and no need for a "switch box" etc!
The unit comes with all the cables you need, and a power adapter (see photos). Unfortunately for some, the plug on the power adapter is of the Euro type,
but don't worry; you can buy an adapter for a couple of dollars (or less, inc. shipping) on ebay for whatever country you are in (soon I will stock EU to AU/NZ, UK & US adapters).
The power adapter works worldwide from 100-240V AC @50/60Hhz.
You can see photos of a previous version of my RGB to PAL/NTSC adapter in action coupled with one of these video to VGA adapters on
EAB.
